Dr. Dre Gives Fans an Update After Suffering Brain Aneurysm: ‘I’m Doing Great’

Dr. Dre gave fans an update from the hospital after suffering from a brain aneurysm.

What We Know:

Dr. Dre was hospitalized on Monday and has remained in the ICU at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, the 55-year-old music mogul is stable and lucid. Doctors still don’t know what caused the bleeding, but they are conducting a number of tests.
Dre gave fans a warm message on Instagram after receiving an outpour of support. He wrote, “Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”

Dre is currently going through a heated divorce from his estranged wife, Nicole Young, after 24 years of marriage. Young filed for divorce in June 2020, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple married in 1996 and have two adult children together. They are set to have a hearing today, without the rapper’s presence.
According to NBC News, Dre’s Brentwood mansion has been under attack since his hospitalization. At around 10 pm Tuesday night, the $40 million hilltop home was the target of an attempted burglary. The LAPD has confirmed that four suspects have been arrested.
