Celebs took over tonight’s red carpet for the return of the live and in person American Music Awards.  And the slinky dresses, fashionable face masks and braided looks made a huge statement.  Get into all the looks inside.

The Microsoft Theater is back to buzzing with plenty of red carpets, and tonight is the 2021 AMAS in Hollywood. Host Cardi B showed up to kick off what we’re SURE will be a night of LEWKS and statements.

Chick rocked a different type of face mask than we’ve worn for the past two years straight, Cardi showed up incognito behind a freaky gold face mask and dramatic black gown, giving Dia Del Muerto vibes.

Still, it wasn’t hard to tell it was her.

Chloe Bailey kept it sleek, sexy and fab in a black, cut-out Andrew Makadsi dress.

Coi Leray also tapped into the sleek and sexy look in a black, one shoulder sequin dress from Tom Ford’s vintage Gucci collection.

Looks like she flew solo without her problematic man.

Well she cleans up well.

The braided beauties were looking amazing as usual:

“Bachelorette” and podcast host Rachel Lindsay stepped out in a slinky black velvet jumpsuit from Zara with Valentino shoes.

And our fave YBF Teen Marsai Martin showed her blonde braids and a form fitting beaded, chevron, multicolored dress from Missoni.  Cute.

Rapper Gunna didn’t disappoint.  Y’all know he loves a drip.  This time, it’s red crushed velvet for the red carpet.

Emmy winner Billy Porter was on hand to present in a teal suit and, of course, a statement hat that was essentially an umbrella. The POSE star does love a statement

Winnie Harlow stepped out in Zuhair Murad couture looking gorge.
